Getting There

• Public Bus

  From Tijuana, head to the Central de Autobuses (Bus Station) located at Boulevard 2000. Take a bus to San Diego, which costs about $5 to $7 USD. The bus ride will take approximately 30-45 minutes. Once you reach the San Ysidro border crossing, go through customs and immigration. After crossing the border, walk to the San Diego Trolley station located a short distance away. Take the Blue Line Trolley towards 'Downtown San Diego'. Get off at the 'Old Town' station. From Old Town, transfer to the 'Green Line' Trolley towards 'Santee'. Get off at 'Mission Valley' station. From there, take the bus number 30 towards 'La Jolla' and get off at the 'Torrey Pines State Beach' stop.

• Taxi or Rideshare

  From anywhere in Tijuana, you can take a taxi or rideshare (like Uber) to the San Ysidro border crossing. The cost is around $10 to $15 USD. After crossing into the U.S., request a ride to 'Torrey Pines State Beach' at 12600 N Torrey Pines Rd, La Jolla, CA 92037. The drive will take approximately 30-45 minutes depending on traffic.

• Walking and Public Transit

  If you prefer to walk, head to the San Ysidro border crossing on foot. Once you cross into the U.S., walk to the nearest Trolley station and take the Blue Line towards 'Downtown San Diego'. Get off at 'Old Town' station, then transfer to the Green Line towards 'Santee' and get off at 'Mission Valley'. From there, catch bus number 30 to 'La Jolla' and get off at the stop for 'Torrey Pines State Beach'. This journey will take about 1.5 to 2 hours total, depending on wait times.
