Bicycle
If you're staying in the central part of Tulum, you can easily rent a bicycle from one of the many shops in town. Head south on Avenida Tulum until you reach the main highway (Carr. Cancún - Tulum). Turn left (east) onto the highway and continue for about 7 kilometers. Cenote Yax-kin will be on your right side. Look for the signage indicating the entrance.
Walking
Walking to Cenote Yax-kin is not recommended due to the distance (about 7 kilometers), but if you prefer to walk, start from the Tulum town center. Head south on Avenida Tulum until you reach the main highway (Carr. Cancún - Tulum). Cross the highway with caution and then head east along the side of the road. Follow the highway for about 7 kilometers until you see Cenote Yax-kin on your right.
Taxi
To reach Cenote Yax-kin by taxi, simply find a taxi stand in Tulum or hail a taxi from the street. Tell the driver to take you to 'Cenote Yax-kin' located on Carr. Cancún - Tulum. The ride should take around 15-20 minutes depending on traffic. Make sure to confirm the fare before getting in, or ask them to use the meter.
Collective Van
Look for collective vans (also known as 'colectivos') on Avenida Tulum near the main square. Board a colectivo heading towards Playa del Carmen and tell the driver you want to stop at Cenote Yax-kin. The colectivo will drop you off at the entrance, and the fare is usually very affordable (around 30 pesos). Make sure to pay attention to the driver and confirm you are at the right cenote.
