From the center of Tulum, head south on Avenida Tulum. After about 1 kilometer, turn left onto the road leading to the beach. Continue straight until you reach the entrance to the Sian Ka'an Biosphere Reserve. Laguna Chunyaxché is located within the reserve, so make sure you have a map or follow signs to the lagoon area. The total ride should take approximately 20-30 minutes.
Taxi
If you prefer not to cycle, you can catch a taxi from any point in Tulum. Simply tell the driver you want to go to Laguna Chunyaxché. From there, you can follow the same path as cyclists towards the Sian Ka'an Biosphere Reserve. Be prepared for a longer walk of about 1.5 hours, but the scenic views make it worthwhile.
