Getting There

  • Bicycle

    From Tulum Centro, you can rent a bicycle from one of the local rental shops. Head south on Avenida Tulum until you reach the junction with Highway 307. Turn right onto Highway 307 and continue for about 7 kilometers. Look for signs indicating Akumal and follow the road signs. Once you reach Akumal Pueblo, turn left onto Camino Uxuxubi. Continue for about 800 meters, and you will find Monkey on your right.

  • Public Transport (Colectivo)

    From Tulum Centro, walk to the main colectivo stop near the ADO bus station. Take a colectivo heading to Akumal; they run frequently and cost around 30 pesos. The ride will take approximately 20-30 minutes. Once you arrive in Akumal, ask the driver to drop you off near Camino Uxuxubi. From there, walk about 800 meters along Camino Uxuxubi, and you will find Monkey on your right.

  • Walking

    If you are feeling adventurous and want to walk, start at Tulum Centro and head south towards Highway 307. It’s a long walk of about 7 kilometers, so ensure you’re prepared with water and sun protection. Once you reach Highway 307, turn right and follow the road to Akumal. Once you reach Akumal Pueblo, turn left onto Camino Uxuxubi. Walk for about 800 meters, and you will see Monkey on your right.
