Getting There

Bicycle
If you're in Tulum town center, you can rent a bicycle from one of the many rental shops. Start on Avenida Tulum and head south towards the beach. Continue until you reach the intersection with Carretera Tulum-Cobá. Turn left onto Carretera Tulum-Cobá and follow the road for about 4 kilometers. Look for signs directing you to Ruinas Tulum, which will be on your left. The parking area is just before the entrance.

Walking
From the town center, walk south on Avenida Tulum until you reach the intersection with Carretera Tulum-Cobá. This is about a 30-40 minute walk. Once you reach the intersection, turn left onto Carretera Tulum-Cobá. Continue walking for approximately 4 kilometers. You will see signs pointing to Ruinas Tulum on your left. The parking area will be just before you enter the ruins.

Taxi
If you prefer to take a taxi, you can hail one from anywhere in Tulum. Tell the driver you want to go to 'Ruinas de Tulum'. The ride will take about 10-15 minutes depending on traffic. The taxi will drop you off right at the entrance of the parking area for Ruinas Tulum.

Collective Van (Colectivo)
From the town center, head to the main road (Carretera Tulum-Cobá) where you can find colectivos heading towards the ruins. Look for a van with 'Ruinas' or 'Tulum' written on it. The fare is usually around 30-50 pesos. The colectivo will drop you off near the entrance to Ruinas Tulum, where you can find the parking area.
