Walking
If you are in the Centro Histórico area, start at the Plaza de Armas, which is a central point. Head east on Calle 5 de Febrero until you reach Avenida 16 de Septiembre. Turn left onto Avenida 16 de Septiembre. Continue walking straight for about 1 kilometer. You will see the Obelisco on your right at the intersection with the beach area. The total walking time is approximately 15-20 minutes.
Public Bus
From the Centro Histórico area, you can take a local bus towards the beach area. Locate a bus stop along Avenida 5 de Febrero. Look for buses that indicate 'Faros' or 'Playa' as their destination. The fare is typically around 10 MXN. Once on the bus, stay on for about 5-10 minutes until you reach the stop near the Obelisco. After getting off, walk a short distance to the Obelisco, which should be visible. Total travel time including waiting and bus ride is about 20-30 minutes.
Bicycle Rental
If you prefer cycling, rent a bicycle from one of the local rental shops in the Centro Histórico. Head east on Calle 5 de Febrero, then turn left onto Avenida 16 de Septiembre. It’s about a 1-kilometer ride. You can park your bicycle near the Obelisco. Rental costs vary, but expect to pay around 50-100 MXN per hour. The cycling time is approximately 5-10 minutes.
