Take US-54 North and follow it for approximately 70 miles. As you approach Alamogordo, look for signs directing you to White Sands National Park, which is located about 15 miles southwest of Alamogordo. The park entrance is well-marked. Note that you will need a valid passport for border crossing and expect possible fees for park entrance (currently $25 per vehicle).
