If you have rented a car in the Outer Islands of Pohnpei, start your journey by heading towards the town of Kolonia, the main urban center of Pohnpei. From Kolonia, take the main road heading east towards the east coast. Follow this road for approximately 15 miles until you reach a fork. At the fork, keep to the left, and continue driving for another 5 miles until you see signs for Nahnalaud. Look for a small dirt road that leads uphill; this is the access road to Nahnalaud. The drive may take around 40-50 minutes depending on road conditions.

Public Transportation (Bus)
For travelers relying on public transport, your best option is to take a bus from Kolonia to the east coast. Look for buses labeled for Nahnalaud or nearby locations. The bus ride should cost around $2-3 and take approximately 30-45 minutes. After you arrive at the nearest stop, you may need to walk for about 1 mile along the dirt road leading to Nahnalaud. Be sure to ask the bus driver to let you know when you reach the closest stop to Nahnalaud.
