Kepirohi Waterfall: A Tropical Paradise in Pohnpei

Getting There

• Walking

  From the town of Kolonia, head towards the Pohnpei State Government office. Once you reach the office, ask locals for directions to Tamworohi. The locals will suggest you follow the main road north. It's a scenic walk, taking you through lush greenery and small villages. After about 3 kilometers, you will reach a sign that indicates the turn-off to Kepirohi Waterfall. Follow this dirt path, which winds through the forest, until you reach the waterfall entrance.

• Bicycle

  Rent a bicycle in Kolonia and start cycling towards the north. Follow the main road that leads to the Pohnpei State Government office. From there, continue on the road heading towards Tamworohi. After approximately 3 kilometers, look for the sign directing you to Kepirohi Waterfall. Take the dirt path leading into the forest, biking until you reach the waterfall entrance. Remember to wear a helmet and be cautious of pedestrians on the path.

• Public Transport (Bus/Van)

  Look for a local bus or van that travels to Tamworohi; these can often be found near the market in Kolonia. Tell the driver you want to visit Kepirohi Waterfall. Upon arrival in Tamworohi, you may need to ask for further directions to the waterfall. It’s usually a short walk from the drop-off point to the entrance of the waterfall, so follow any signs or ask locals for guidance.

• Hitchhiking

  If you're comfortable with it, hitchhiking is a common practice in Pohnpei. Find a good spot along the main road heading towards Tamworohi and signal for a ride. Mention that you are going to Kepirohi Waterfall. Most locals will be familiar with the destination and will be happy to give you a lift. Once you arrive in Tamworohi, you can walk to the waterfall entrance by following the dirt path.
