Car
From any location in Glacial Ridge, head towards MN-71 N. Follow MN-71 N for approximately 30 miles. Once you reach Park Rapids, turn left onto MN-34 W. Continue on MN-34 W for about 5 miles until you see the signs for Itasca State Park. Turn right onto Main Park Drive, and follow it for about 2 miles to reach the park entrance at 36750 Main Pk Dr, Park Rapids, MN 56470. Note that there is an entrance fee for the park, which is currently $7 per vehicle.
Public Transportation
If you are using public transportation, first check for any local bus services that operate within Glacial Ridge. The nearest major bus station that connects to Park Rapids is in the neighboring city. From Glacial Ridge, take a local bus or taxi to the nearest bus station. From there, you will need to catch a bus that goes to Park Rapids. Once you arrive in Park Rapids, you can take a taxi or rideshare service to reach Itasca State Park. Keep in mind that public transportation may have limited schedules, especially on weekends and holidays, so plan accordingly.
