Car
If you are already in Itasca State Park, getting to the North Entrance is straightforward. Start by locating MN-200, which runs through the park. Head east on MN-200 from your current location within the park. Continue on MN-200 for approximately 2 miles. The North Entrance will be on your left, marked by a sign. There is no entrance fee required at the North Entrance.

Public Transportation
Itasca State Park is not directly accessible by public transportation. However, you can take a bus to the nearest town, which is Shevlin, MN. From Shevlin, you will need to arrange for a taxi or rideshare service to get to Itasca State Park. The distance from Shevlin to the North Entrance of the park is about 10 miles, and taxi fares can vary, so it's advisable to check local rates ahead of time.

Walking/Biking
If you are within the park and prefer to walk or bike, you can take any of the park trails leading towards MN-200. Follow the signs that guide you to the main road, and then head east on MN-200 for about 2 miles. Please note that walking or biking on the main road can be less safe due to traffic, so take necessary precautions. Make sure to wear appropriate gear and stay visible.
