Getting There

Light Rail
If you're starting from downtown Minneapolis, take the METRO Blue Line light rail from the Nicollet Mall station. Board a train heading towards the Mall of America. After approximately 12 stops, get off at the Government Plaza station. From there, exit the station and head east towards 5th Street. Walk two blocks to the east until you reach the intersection with Rev Dr Martin Luther King Jr Boulevard. Continue walking for about 0.3 miles, and you'll arrive at the Minnesota State Capitol.

Bus
From downtown Minneapolis, catch the Metro Transit bus routes 63 or 21 at the Nicollet Mall & 5th Street stop. Both routes head towards St. Paul. Stay on the bus for about 20 minutes and get off at the stop on 5th Street and Wabasha Street. From there, walk two blocks north on Wabasha Street until you reach Rev Dr Martin Luther King Jr Boulevard. Turn left and walk about 0.2 miles to reach the Minnesota State Capitol.

If you are close to downtown St. Paul, you can walk to the Minnesota State Capitol. Start from Rice Park, head north on Wabasha Street for about 0.5 miles. When you reach the intersection with Rev Dr Martin Luther King Jr Boulevard, turn right and walk one block east. The Capitol will be on your left at 75 Rev Dr Martin Luther King Jr Boulevard.

Bicycle
If you prefer biking, you can rent a bike from one of the many bike-sharing stations in Minneapolis. Start from downtown Minneapolis and take the bike lanes on Hennepin Avenue heading towards the Mississipi River. Cross the river and follow the bike paths along the river until you reach the bridge to St. Paul. Continue biking along the bike lanes on 5th Street until you reach Wabasha Street, then turn left and head north to Rev Dr Martin Luther King Jr Boulevard. The Capitol will be on your left after a short ride.
