Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving from anywhere in the Red River Valley, take I-94 E toward Minneapolis. Once you reach the Twin Cities area, take the exit toward I-35W S. Follow I-35W S for about 6 miles, then take the exit for Washington Ave. Go east on Washington Ave and turn left onto E River Pkwy. The Weisman Art Museum will be on your right at 333 E River Pkwy, Minneapolis, MN 55455. There is parking available nearby, but be aware that parking may incur a fee.

• Public Transportation

  To reach the Weisman Art Museum via public transportation, find your nearest Metro Transit bus stop. You can take the 3 or 6 bus routes, which service the area. If you are starting from downtown Fargo, take the bus to the Minneapolis area. Once you arrive at the University of Minnesota campus, disembark at the Washington Ave & 19th Ave stop. From there, walk east on Washington Ave and turn left onto E River Pkwy. The museum will be on your right at 333 E River Pkwy. Be sure to check the Metro Transit website for schedules and fares, as there may be costs associated with bus rides.

• Bicycle

  For those who want to bike to the Weisman Art Museum, you can take the scenic route along the river. Start from the downtown Red River Valley area and head towards the River Road Trail. Follow the trail south, which connects to the Cedar Lake Trail. From there, make your way to the University of Minnesota campus. Once you reach the campus, navigate to E River Pkwy. The museum is located at 333 E River Pkwy. Ensure you have a bike lock to secure your bike while you visit.
