When you reach the stop at 'Summit Ave & Kent St', get off the bus. From there, walk east on Summit Avenue for about 0.3 miles. The James J. Hill House will be on your left at 240 Summit Ave.

From the nearest light rail station, the 'Central Station', board the Green Line heading toward 'Union Depot'. Disembark at the 'Capitol/Rice Street' station. From there, walk west along University Avenue to Rice Street and then turn left. Continue walking south down Rice Street until you reach Summit Avenue. Turn right onto Summit Avenue and the James J. Hill House will be on your right at 240 Summit Ave.

Start at Landmark Center, located at 75 W 5th St. Head west on 5th St toward Market St. Continue onto 4th St and turn left onto Robert St. Walk until you reach Summit Avenue and then turn right. The house will be on your left at 240 Summit Ave after a short walk.
