To reach Lake Harriet from downtown Saint Paul, start by heading to the nearest bus stop on 5th Street. Take the Metro Transit bus route 3 or 50 heading towards Minneapolis. Stay on the bus for approximately 25-30 minutes until you reach the stop at Lake Harriet Parkway and 43rd Street. From there, walk west on Lake Harriet Parkway for about 0.5 miles until you reach the park entrance at 4135 W Lake Harriet Pkwy.

From downtown Saint Paul, walk to the Central Station of the Metro Green Line light rail. Board a train heading towards Minneapolis and travel for about 15 minutes to the Nicollet Mall Station. Transfer to the Metro Transit bus route 6 at Nicollet Mall and board the bus heading towards Lake Harriet. After about 15 minutes, get off at the Lake Harriet Parkway stop. Walk west along Lake Harriet Parkway for about 0.5 miles to reach the park entrance at 4135 W Lake Harriet Pkwy.
