From the center of the Summit-University neighborhood, head east towards University Ave W. You can do this by walking along Selby Ave or any cross street that leads to University Ave. Once you reach University Ave, turn right (east) and walk along the sidewalk. Continue walking for about 15-20 minutes. The Leif Erickson Statue will be located on the grounds of the Minnesota State Capitol, which is situated at the intersection of University Ave W and John Ireland Blvd. Look for the large statue in front of the Capitol building.
