    To reach Hugh White State Park from I-55, take Exit 206 onto MS-8 East. Travel six miles on MS-8 East, then turn left onto Hugh White State Park Road. Follow the park signs to the office. The entrance fee is $2.00 per person; children 5 years of age and under are free.

    Hugh White State Park, centrally located between Memphis and Jackson on Grenada Lake, is a premier destination for outdoor recreation in Mississippi. The park's main attraction is the 35,000-acre Grenada Lake, renowned as a crappie fishing hotspot, well-stocked with bass, bream, and catfish. Anglers can purchase a Mississippi fishing license at the park office.Beyond fishing, Grenada Lake is ideal for boating and water sports. A boat launch provides easy access to the water. The park also features the 18-hole Dogwoods Golf Course, picnic areas with grills, playgrounds, and a visitor center.For those seeking overnight stays, Hugh White State Park offers 128 developed camping sites with water and electrical hookups, picnic tables, and grills. Hot showers and a central sewage dumping station are available. Twelve duplex cabins perched on a bluff overlooking Grenada Lake provide an alternative lodging option. A laundry facility is located in the Spillway Campground.Nature enthusiasts can explore the park's diverse landscape via hiking trails, including a one-mile nature trail that encompasses the highest point in Grenada County. The Lost Bluff Trail tracks the lake shore, while the Haserway Wetland Management Area Nature Trail showcases wildlife below the dam. Hugh White State Park also features an 18-hole disc golf course called "The Lost Bluff".
