Walking
If you are in downtown Vicksburg, start at the Vicksburg Riverfront Park. Head east on Levee Street until you reach the intersection with Washington Street. Turn left onto Washington Street and continue walking until you reach the corner of Washington and Grove Street. Continue straight on Washington Street, crossing over the railroad tracks. After about 0.5 miles, you will arrive at the Welcome to Mississippi Sign, located on the left side of the road.

Starting from the Vicksburg National Military Park, exit the park and head south on Confederate Avenue. Take a right onto Clay Street, which will turn into Washington Street. Continue on Washington Street for about 1 mile until you reach the intersection with Grove Street. The Welcome to Mississippi Sign will be on your left.
