In 1946, the Munger Moss Motel was established, offering weary travelers a place to rest along the Mother Road.The motel's design reflects the classic motor court style, where guests could park their cars directly outside their rooms. Over the years, the Munger Moss Motel has evolved to meet the changing needs of travelers, adding amenities such as in-room televisions, air conditioning, and a swimming pool. The motel's iconic neon sign, restored in 2010, serves as a beacon, drawing visitors from near and far.For over 50 years, the Munger Moss Motel was owned and operated by Bob and Ramona Lehman, who purchased the property in 1971. Ramona, in particular, became a beloved figure along Route 66, known for her warm hospitality and dedication to preserving the road's history. In October 2024, the Dels Corporation purchased the motel from the Lehman family, with plans to restore and revitalize the property while maintaining its historic charm. Today, the Munger Moss Motel continues to welcome travelers, offering a unique and memorable experience on Route 66.
