Getting There

• Bicycle

  From your location in Lake of the Ozarks, start cycling towards Missouri Route 7. Follow the signs to the nearest town, which is Camdenton. Once you reach Camdenton, follow signs to US-54 E. Continue on US-54 E for about 15 miles until you reach the junction with US-65 S. Take US-65 S towards Branson. After approximately 10 miles, take the exit for US-65 S towards Springfield. Keep on US-65 S for another 20 miles, then take the exit for Ozark. Follow the signs to N Smallin Rd and continue for about 3 miles until you reach Smallin Civil War Cave at 3575 N Smallin Rd, Ozark, MO 65721.

• Public Transport (Bus and Walking)

  Begin your journey by taking the local bus from your accommodation in Lake of the Ozarks to Camdenton. Check the local bus schedule for timings. Once in Camdenton, transfer to a bus heading towards Springfield. After arriving at the Springfield bus station, you will need to take another bus to Ozark. Upon reaching Ozark, you can walk or use a rideshare app to get to 3575 N Smallin Rd, which is about a 10-minute drive from the Ozark bus station. Look for signs directing you to Smallin Civil War Cave.

  If you are starting from a central location in Lake of the Ozarks, you can take a scenic walking route towards the nearest bus stop that services Camdenton. Follow public paths or trails leading to the bus stop, and from there, follow the public transport guidance to reach your destination. This option might take longer, so be sure to wear comfortable shoes and check the bus schedule in advance.
