    From the Soroca bus station, you can take a local taxi or minibus to Strada Lumânării, the road leading to the Candle of Gratitude. The minibus fare is around 6 MDL. From Strada Lumânării, it's a short walk to the base of the monument.

The Candle of Gratitude is a monument located on the outskirts of Soroca, Moldova, rising majestically above the Dniester River. Inaugurated on March 27, 2004, this monument is dedicated to the anonymous heroes who preserved Moldovan culture, language, and history. The monument was the brainchild of the famous Moldovan writer Ion Druță. The monument itself is shaped like a candle and stands 29.5 meters tall. At night, the light from the candle can be seen from as far away as Otaci and Camenca. Inside the monument, there is a small chapel where visitors can pray. To reach the Candle of Gratitude, visitors must climb over 600 steps from the river. From the top of the hill, visitors can enjoy a panoramic view of Soroca and the surrounding landscape. The Candle of Gratitude is not only a tourist attraction but also a symbol of the values of gratitude and remembrance, which are integral to the Moldovan identity.
