Follow Strada Independenței towards the river, then turn onto Strada Lumânării, which leads to the base of the hill. Be prepared for a climb of over 600 steps to reach the monument.

    Local minibuses (marshrutkas) operate in Soroca and can take you closer to the Candle of Gratitude. Ask a driver or local for the correct route to Strada Lumânării. From the minibus stop, there will still be a climb up the steps to the monument. A single fare on a minibus is around 6 MDL.

The Candle of Gratitude (Lumânarea Recunoștinței) is one of Moldova's most significant modern monuments, located on the outskirts of Soroca.
