Walking
From the Monte Carlo Casino, head east on Boulevard des Moulins toward Avenue de la Costa. Continue straight for about 400 meters until you reach Avenue des Spélugues. Turn left onto Avenue des Spélugues and walk for about 500 meters. You will reach the Monte Carlo train station (Gare de Monte-Carlo). From here, take the train towards Nice Ville. The train ride will take approximately 20 minutes. Once you arrive at Nice Ville station, exit the station and head south toward Avenue Thiers. Continue walking straight until you reach the junction with Boulevard Jean Jaurès. Turn left onto Boulevard Jean Jaurès and walk for about 800 meters until you reach Place Pierre Gautier, where the Palais de la Préfecture is located.
Bus
From Monte Carlo, head to the nearest bus stop, which is located at the Monte Carlo Casino. Take bus number 100 towards Nice. The bus ride will take about 30 minutes. Get off at the stop named 'Gare Routière' in Nice. After exiting the bus, walk straight on Avenue Thiers for about 200 meters until you reach Boulevard Jean Jaurès. Turn right onto Boulevard Jean Jaurès and continue walking for about 600 meters. You will find Place Pierre Gautier on your left, where the Palais de la Préfecture is located.
Train
From Monte Carlo, walk to the Monte Carlo train station (Gare de Monte-Carlo), which is about a 10-minute walk from the Casino. Once at the station, purchase a ticket to Nice Ville. The train journey takes approximately 20 minutes. After arriving at Nice Ville station, follow the signs to the main exit and head south toward Avenue Thiers. Walk straight for 200 meters until you reach Boulevard Jean Jaurès. Turn left on Boulevard Jean Jaurès and walk about 800 meters to reach Place Pierre Gautier, where you will find the Palais de la Préfecture.
