Confiserie Florian traces its roots to 1921 on the Port of Nice, evolving from a historic chocolate factory frequented by Matisse into a beacon of Provençal confectionery. Acquired and revitalized by the Fuchs family, it honors traditions from the original Florian chocolate works, where cocoa scents once wafted from African shipments. Today, the Vieux Nice boutique showcases Pont-du-Loup specialties, blending legacy with live production.

Artisan Workshops

Upstairs workshops reveal the magic: pralines, almond pastes, and feuilletines enrobed in dark, milk, or white chocolate; candied clementines glazed to perfection; sour sweets crafted by hand. Free guided tours in multiple languages let visitors witness every stage, from fruit candying to packaging in Provençal baskets.
