Car
If you have access to a car, start your journey from central Ulaanbaatar. Head south on Peace Avenue (Chinggis Avenue) and continue for about 10 km until you reach the junction with the Zaisan Hill road. Turn left at the junction and follow the road until you see the signs for Bogd Khan Mountain. Follow the road signs for Zuun Orgil, which is located at VW49+W6J, Ulaanbaatar 17081. The drive should take approximately 30 minutes, depending on traffic conditions. Make sure to keep an eye out for road signs indicating local attractions.
Public Transportation
To reach Zuun Orgil using public transportation, start at the main bus station in Ulaanbaatar. Look for buses heading towards the Bogd Khan Mountain area. You can take bus number 88 or 30, both of which will drop you close to the entrance of Bogd Khan Mountain. The fare is usually around 1,000 MNT (Mongolian Tugrik). Once you arrive at the bus stop, you might need to walk approximately 2 km to reach Zuun Orgil. Follow the path signs towards the hiking area. Be sure to check the bus schedule in advance as it may vary.
Taxi
For a more direct and comfortable option, consider taking a taxi from Ulaanbaatar to Zuun Orgil. You can easily find taxis in the city center. Negotiate the fare before starting your trip or use a ride-hailing app. The taxi fare should range from 10,000 to 15,000 MNT, and the journey will take about 30 minutes. Ensure you have the exact location (VW49+W6J, Ulaanbaatar 17081) ready to show the driver.
Walking (from the bus stop)
If you opt for public transportation, after getting off the bus, you will need to walk towards Zuun Orgil. The walk is approximately 2 km and takes about 30 minutes.
