Car Rental
If you are traveling by car, start your journey from Ulaanbaatar, the capital city of Mongolia. Head north on the A-3 highway towards Darkhan. After approximately 200 km, take the exit towards Selenge Province (follow signs for XPH7+M72). Continue on this road for about 50 km until you reach the entrance to Khan Khentii National Park. The park is well-signposted, and you should be able to find your way using GPS coordinates: Latitude 48.9791403, Longitude 108.7131349. Note that a park entrance fee may apply, typically around 10,000 MNT.
Public Transportation (Bus)
For those preferring public transport, take a bus from Ulaanbaatar to Selenge. Buses depart frequently from the bus station located at the east side of the capital. The journey takes approximately 4-5 hours. Upon arrival in Selenge, you may need to negotiate a taxi or find a local minibus heading towards Khan Khentii. The taxi fare to the park entrance from Selenge is usually around 15,000-20,000 MNT. Ensure you have cash on hand, as many drivers may not accept card payments.
