Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, head towards Ulaanbaatar from any location in Eastern Steppe. Use the main roads leading to the capital city. Once you reach Ulaanbaatar, follow the signs to the Zaisan Monument. The monument is located at VWM8+J5C, HUD - 11 khoroo, Ulaanbaatar 17023. You can use a GPS device or a navigation app to get precise directions. Look for the Zaisan Hill area, which is a well-known landmark. The drive from Eastern Steppe to Ulaanbaatar typically takes around 3-5 hours, depending on your starting point and road conditions. Parking is available near the monument.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Zaisan Monument via public transportation, first take a bus or a shared minivan (also known as 'microbus') from your location in Eastern Steppe to Ulaanbaatar. The bus services are regular and can take anywhere from 3 to 5 hours to reach the city. Once in Ulaanbaatar, you can take bus number 11 or taxi directly to Zaisan Hill. If you're taking a taxi, ensure to communicate the destination as 'Zaisan Monument.' The taxi fare is approximately 5,000 to 10,000 MNT (Mongolian Tugrik). If taking bus number 11, you can board it from the main bus station and disembark at the Zaisan stop, which is a short walk from the monument.

  If you're in Ulaanbaatar and prefer a direct route, you can hire a taxi to take you to Zaisan Monument. Taxis are widely available and can be hailed on the street or booked through a ride-hailing app. The journey from the city center to the monument will take about 15-30 minutes, depending on traffic. Expect to pay around 5,000 to 10,000 MNT for the ride. Make sure to confirm the fare beforehand or ensure the meter is running.
