Getting there

Walking

Starting from the main square in Bar, head southeast towards the main road, known as Đure Đakovića. Continue straight for about 500 meters until you reach the intersection with the street called 4. Jula. Turn left onto 4. Jula and follow it for approximately 300 meters. You will see signs for Stari Bar as you approach the old town area. Continue to follow the road signs leading to Stari Bar, and you will eventually arrive at the old town's entrance. Once inside Stari Bar, take a moment to enjoy the ancient architecture and cobblestone streets. The Wieża obronna (Defensive Tower) is located at coordinates 34VP+GFV, which you can find by following the main path through the old town. As you walk through, look for the tower, distinguished by its historical structure. It will be on your right as you approach the center of Stari Bar.

Public Transport

From the main bus station in Bar, take the local bus that goes to Stari Bar. The bus ride will take approximately 20 minutes. Once you arrive at the Stari Bar stop, exit the bus and walk towards the old town entrance. Enter through the gates and immediately start walking straight down the main path. Follow the signs directing you to the Wieża obronna. It is located within the old town area, approximately a 10-minute walk from the bus stop. Enjoy the scenic views and historical sites along the way.

Bicycle

If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle in Bar. Start from the center of Bar and head towards the coastal road, which connects to the path toward Stari Bar. Follow the road signs leading to Stari Bar. The cycling distance is roughly 4 kilometers, and it should take about 15-20 minutes. Upon reaching Stari Bar, lock your bike at a designated bike rack. From there, continue on foot into the old town, following the path that leads to the Wieża obronna, which is situated within the historic area.
