Car
If you're driving, start from the center of Brda. Head south on the main road (E80) towards Špiljari. Continue straight for about 20 minutes until you see the signs for St John Fortress. Turn left onto the road leading to the Fort of St. Ivan. Follow the winding road up the hill for approximately 5 minutes until you reach the fortress parking area. From there, it's a short walk to the entrance of the fortress.
Public Transportation
To reach St John Fortress using public transportation, find the nearest bus station in Brda. Look for a bus heading towards Kotor or Špiljari. The bus ride will take about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at the Špiljari stop, walk towards the road leading to the Fort of St. Ivan. It’s a scenic walk of approximately 15 minutes uphill. Follow the signs directing you to St John Fortress.
