Walking
From the center of Cetinje, head southwest on Njegoševa Street towards the main road. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with the main road (M2). Turn left and follow the road as it leads you towards Herceg Novi. After approximately 15-20 minutes of walking, you will reach a bus stop. From here, you can take a local bus to Herceg Novi, which should take about 30 minutes. Once you arrive in Herceg Novi, walk towards the coast and follow the signs leading to Forte Mare. The fortress is located on the waterfront, just across a small bridge on the north side. It’s a scenic walk along the promenade.

Public Transport
Start at the Cetinje bus station, which is located near the city center. Purchase a ticket for a bus to Herceg Novi, which departs regularly throughout the day. The bus ride will take around 30 minutes. Once you arrive in Herceg Novi, exit the bus and head towards the waterfront. Follow the promenade until you see signs for Forte Mare. The entrance to the fortress is located just across a small bridge on the north side of the structure.

Bicycle
If you're feeling adventurous, you can rent a bicycle from one of the local rental shops in Cetinje. Start your journey by cycling southwest on Njegoševa Street towards the main road. Once you reach the M2 road, turn left and continue cycling towards Herceg Novi. The route is approximately 15 km and offers beautiful views of the landscape. Upon reaching Herceg Novi, park your bike and walk towards the coast. Follow the signs to Forte Mare, which is located on the waterfront, just across a small bridge on the north side.
