Getting There
Walking
From the center of Cetinje, head north towards the main road (Njegoševa Street). Continue along Njegoševa Street until you reach the intersection with the road leading to the direction of the Lovćen National Park. Turn left onto this road, which will lead you out of the town and into a more rural area. Follow the signs for Slansko Lake, which is approximately 15 kilometers from Cetinje. The walk will take you through beautiful scenery, and you can expect to walk for about 3 to 4 hours. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring water.
Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle in Cetinje. Start from the main square and take Njegoševa Street towards the north. After approximately 1.5 kilometers, you’ll reach the main road leading to Lovćen National Park. Turn left and continue cycling straight. The route is mostly flat and offers scenic views. Slansko Lake is around 15 kilometers away, and it should take you approximately 30 to 45 minutes to reach your destination depending on your cycling speed.
Public Transport
To reach Slansko Lake using public transport, head to the Cetinje bus station, which is located near the main square. Look for buses heading towards Njeguši or Lovćen National Park. Make sure to ask the driver if they stop at Slansko Lake, as some buses might only go to Njeguši. The bus ride will take about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at the nearest stop, you may need to walk a short distance to reach the lake, following any signs or asking locals for directions.
