The road may get narrow and steep, so drive carefully. Parking can be found near the base of the fort, but be prepared to walk approximately 15-20 minutes uphill on a well-marked path to reach Observation Post.

For those using public transportation, you can take a local bus from Kotor to Muo and ask the driver to drop you off near the Old Town. From there, follow the signs to the Fortress of St. Ivan. The bus ride costs around 1-2 euros. Once you are at the Old Town, continue on foot following the uphill trail towards the Observation Post, which is approximately a 20-minute hike.

If you are already in Kotor Bay and prefer to walk, simply head towards Kotor's Old Town. Enter the Old Town and follow the signs for the Fortress of St. Ivan. The path begins at the eastern side of the Old Town. Note that the ascent can be steep, and it takes about 20-30 minutes to reach the Observation Post on foot. Wear comfortable shoes and carry water, especially during warmer months.
