Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving, start from the town of Virpazar, which is a popular gateway to Lake Skadar. Head north on the M2 road for approximately 3 kilometers. After passing the Lake Skadar National Park entrance, take a left onto the Unnamed Road towards Meterizi, following the signs for Skadar viewpoint. Continue on this road for about 2 kilometers until you reach the viewpoint, which is located at coordinates 42.363375, 19.06056. There is parking available near the viewpoint.

• Public Transportation

  To reach the Skadar viewpoint using public transportation, take a bus from Podgorica to Virpazar. Buses run regularly and the journey takes about 1 hour. Once in Virpazar, you can either walk (approximately 3 kilometers) towards the viewpoint or hire a taxi for a short ride. If you choose to walk, head north on the M2 road until you reach the Lake Skadar National Park entrance, then take a left onto the Unnamed Road towards Meterizi and follow the signs to the viewpoint.

• Taxi

  For a more direct route, consider taking a taxi from Virpazar to the Skadar viewpoint. The taxi ride will take about 5-10 minutes and should cost around 5-10 euros, depending on your negotiation skills and the taxi service. Make sure to confirm the fare beforehand to avoid any misunderstandings.
