Car
If you're traveling by car, start from the town of Virpazar, which is the main access point to Lake Skadar. From the center of Virpazar, drive along the main road (E80) towards the Skadar Lake Visitor Center. At the entrance to the Visitor Center, you will find a parking area. Make sure to park your car safely as there may be limited spaces. From the Visitor Center, follow the signs for Viewpoint Skadar, which is about a 15-minute walk uphill. The path is well-marked and offers stunning views along the way.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, take a bus from Podgorica to Virpazar, which operates several times a day. The journey takes approximately 1 hour. Once you arrive in Virpazar, head towards the Skadar Lake Visitor Center. This is a short walk from the bus station. After visiting the Visitor Center, follow the signs for Viewpoint Skadar, which is about a 15-minute walk uphill. Ensure you check the bus schedule for your return trip, as buses may not run frequently.
