Walk
From Tivat, head towards the Tivat Marina, located at the waterfront. Follow the promenade along the marina, enjoying the view of the boats and the sea. Continue walking until you reach the main road (Jadranska Magistrala). Turn left onto the main road and follow the signs towards Kotor, which is approximately 8 km away. You can take a local bus from here if you prefer to avoid the walk.

At Tivat, locate the local bus station (Autobuska stanica Tivat), which is near the town center. Purchase a ticket for a bus heading towards Kotor. The bus ride takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive in Kotor, get off at the main bus station in Kotor. From the bus station, walk towards the Old Town (Stari Grad) of Kotor, which is only a short distance away.

Walk from Kotor Bus Station
After reaching Kotor's bus station, exit and head straight towards the Old Town. You will see the city walls and the entrance to the Old Town. Once inside, walk through the charming streets until you reach the base of the fortress trail. Follow the signs that lead you up to Kotor Fortress (St John Fortress). The walk is steep and may take around 30-40 minutes to reach the top, where you will be rewarded with stunning views.
