Getting There

Car
From Chiadma, take Route N1 towards Essaouira. Follow the signs for Essaouira for approximately 45 kilometers. Upon entering Essaouira, look for signs directing you to the 'Medina' (old town). Once you reach the Medina, you can find parking at one of the designated areas outside the city walls. Note that there may be parking fees, typically around 10-20 MAD per hour. After parking, walk towards the main entrance of the City Walls, which is easily accessible and well-marked.

Public Transportation (Bus)
From Chiadma, find the local bus station and take a bus heading to Essaouira. The journey usually takes about 1 to 1.5 hours, and the cost is approximately 25-35 MAD. Buses run regularly throughout the day. Once you arrive at the Essaouira bus station, exit and follow the signs leading to the Medina. It is a short 15-minute walk to the City Walls from there. Enjoy the local shops and cafes along the way!

Taxi
You can also opt for a taxi from Chiadma to Essaouira. Taxis can be hired at a local taxi stand or arranged through your accommodation. The fare should be negotiated beforehand, and expect to pay around 300-400 MAD for a private taxi. The journey will take about 45 minutes. Upon arrival in Essaouira, ask the driver to drop you off at the Medina entrance, which is a stone's throw from the City Walls.
