Car
If you are traveling by car, head towards Marrakesh from your location in Doukkala-Abda. Take the A7 highway, which connects various cities in Morocco. Once you reach Marrakesh, follow signs to the Medina area. As you approach the Medina, look for parking areas nearby, such as 'Parking Palais des Congrès' or 'Parking Koutoubia', as parking in the Medina itself is limited. After parking, walk towards the Bahia Palace, which is located at Rue de la Bahia, just a 10-15 minute walk from most parking locations.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, you can take a bus from Doukkala-Abda to Marrakesh. Look for a bus service that goes directly to Marrakesh and buy a ticket at the bus station. The journey may take around 1.5 to 2 hours. Once you arrive at the Marrakesh bus station, you can take a taxi or a petit taxi (shared taxi) to the Medina. Inform the taxi driver to take you to Bahia Palace or to a nearby landmark, such as the Koutoubia Mosque, which is a known reference point. The taxi ride should cost around 20-30 MAD.
Walking
If you are already in the Medina, Bahia Palace is accessible on foot. From the Koutoubia Mosque, walk east on Avenue Mohammed VI and turn onto Rue de la Bahia. Follow the signs to Bahia Palace. The walk should take approximately 10 minutes. Ensure you have a map or GPS on your phone, as the streets can be narrow and winding.
Use Bahia Palace as your starting point for nearby food, family ideas, nightlife, and more local discoveries.
