Getting There

• Walking

  If you are starting from the Medina of Fes, head towards the Bab Boujloud (Blue Gate) which is a central point and well-known landmark. Once you reach Bab Boujloud, exit through the gate and turn left onto Avenue Hassan II. Continue straight on Avenue Hassan II for about 500 meters until you reach the intersection with Rue de la Résistance. Turn right onto Rue de la Résistance and continue straight until you reach the next major intersection. At this point, you will find the entrance to Fes El Jdid. Keep walking straight and look for signage to Bab Al Amer. After about 1 kilometer, you should arrive at Bab Al Amer, located at the coordinates 34.0513527, -4.994182.

• Public Transport (Bus)

  From the Medina, walk to the nearest bus station, which is near Bab Boujloud. Look for bus number 17 or 19, which frequently stops there. Board the bus heading towards Fes El Jdid. It will take you approximately 15-20 minutes to reach the neighborhood. Get off at the stop nearest to the intersection of Avenue Hassan II and Rue de la Résistance. From there, walk straight as described in the walking instructions to reach Bab Al Amer.

  If you prefer a quicker option, you can take a petit taxi from anywhere in Fes. Simply inform the driver you want to go to Bab Al Amer.
