The journey will take approximately 6-8 hours depending on traffic and road conditions. Make sure to inform the bus driver that you want to get off at 'Mehamid', which is the nearest village to your desert safari destination. Once you arrive in Mehamid, you can arrange for a local guide or transfer service to take you to the desert camp where the camel ride and overnight stay will take place.

You can also opt for a shared taxi (called 'Grand Taxi') from Marrakech to Mehamid. Head to the Grand Taxi station, which is located near the 'Gare Routière'. This option may be slightly faster than the bus, but it will depend on how quickly the taxi fills up with passengers.
