  If you are starting from the city of Merzouga, which is a popular gateway to the Sahara Desert, drive southwest on Route N-13. Continue for about 50 kilometers, following the signs to Rissani. From Rissani, take Route N-12 heading towards Erfoud. After about 30 kilometers, you'll reach Erfoud. From Erfoud, take the D-1006 road that leads towards the village of Hassi Labied. The journey will take approximately 2 hours, depending on traffic. Upon reaching Hassi Labied, you will find local tour operators who can arrange camel rides and guided tours into the Sahara desert, specifically to Exploring Sahara Morocco.

  From the town of Merzouga, you can take a shared taxi or bus towards Rissani. Shared taxis are usually stationed close to the main square and leave when full. The fare is approximately 20 MAD and the journey takes about 30 minutes. Once in Rissani, transfer to a bus or shared taxi that heads towards Erfoud. Buses leave regularly, costing around 30 MAD and taking about 30 minutes. Upon arriving in Erfoud, you can catch another shared taxi or bus to Hassi Labied.
