Getting There

• Walking

  If you are starting from the famous Djemaa el-Fna square, head northwest towards the Koutoubia Mosque, which is a prominent landmark. As you walk, keep the mosque on your right. Continue straight toward the Medina. You will find the entrance to the Medina marked by bustling souks and narrow alleyways. Take your time to explore the shops and stalls as you make your way deeper into the Medina.

• Walking

  From the Majorelle Garden, exit the garden and turn left onto Rue Yves Saint Laurent. Walk straight until you reach the intersection with Boulevard Mohammed Zerktouni. Cross the boulevard and continue straight onto Rue de la Liberté. This street will lead you towards the Medina. As you approach the Medina, you will see the walls surrounding it. Enter through one of the many gates, such as Bab Agnaou, to immerse yourself in the vibrant atmosphere of the Medina.

• Public Transportation

  If you are near the railway station, take a local bus or a shared taxi (petit taxi) heading towards Djemaa el-Fna. The bus will drop you off close to the square. From there, follow the walking directions to enter the Medina. Alternatively, you can take a petit taxi directly to a landmark near the Medina, such as Koutoubia Mosque, and proceed on foot from there.

• Walking

  From the Saadian Tombs, exit the tombs and walk down Rue de la Kasbah. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Avenue Mohammed VI. Cross the avenue and continue onto Rue de la Kasbah, which will lead you directly toward one of the entrances of the Medina. As you enter, you will be welcomed by the sights and sounds of the bustling market streets.
