Car
If you are driving from Sais to Jemaa el-Fnaa, start by heading southwest on N8. Follow the signs to Marrakech. As you approach the city, look for signs directing you to the Medina area. Once you reach the Medina, parking can be challenging. Consider using the parking lot at Place de la Koutoubia, which is about a 10-minute walk from Jemaa el-Fnaa. From the parking lot, walk towards the Koutoubia Mosque, and Jemaa el-Fnaa will be directly ahead.
Public Transport (Bus)
To reach Jemaa el-Fnaa by bus, locate the nearest bus station in Sais. Take a bus heading towards Marrakech. The trip may take approximately 30-45 minutes. Upon arrival at the Marrakech bus station, follow the signs to the Medina. You can either walk (about 20 minutes) or take a short taxi ride to Jemaa el-Fnaa. If walking, head towards Avenue Mohammed V, then turn left onto Rue Bab Agnaou; Jemaa el-Fnaa will be on your right.
Taxi
The easiest way to reach Jemaa el-Fnaa from Sais is by taking a taxi. Simply flag down a taxi or book one via a local app. Inform the driver that your destination is Jemaa el-Fnaa in Marrakech. The fare should be around 200-300 MAD (Moroccan Dirhams) depending on traffic and negotiation. The journey will take about 20-30 minutes. Once you arrive, you will be dropped off near the entrance to the marketplace area.
Train
If you prefer to travel by train, head to the train station in Sais and catch a train to Marrakech. The train journey takes about 2-3 hours. Upon arriving at Marrakech train station, exit and look for local taxis or buses heading towards the Medina. You can also walk (approximately 30 minutes) to Jemaa el-Fnaa by following Avenue Hassan II, then turning onto Avenue Mohammed V to reach the Medina.
