If you're driving from Tafilalt to Merzouga, start by heading southeast on the N13 road. Continue on this road for about 50 kilometers, passing through Erfoud. Once in Erfoud, you can stop for some supplies. From Erfoud, take the R105 road towards Merzouga. This part of the drive will take you through beautiful landscapes and the journey will take approximately 1 hour. Upon arriving in Merzouga, follow the signs to the main activity locations which are well marked.

For those using public transport, take a bus from Tafilalt to Erfoud. Buses run regularly and the journey takes about 1.5 hours. Once in Erfoud, you can find shared taxis (grand taxis) that head to Merzouga. This taxi ride will cost around 30 MAD and will take approximately 40 minutes. Make sure to confirm the destination with the driver. Upon reaching Merzouga, you will find local guides and activity organizers available to help you set up your Sahara activities.
