Getting There

  • Car

    From Tangier, take the N16 road towards Chefchaouen. The drive is approximately 115 kilometers and takes about 2 hours. Follow the signs for Chefchaouen along the N16, enjoying the scenic views of the Rif Mountains. Once you arrive in Chefchaouen, follow the main road until you reach the city center. You can park your car at designated parking areas on the outskirts of the medina.

  • Bus

    From Tangier, head to the CTM bus station located at Avenue Mohammed VI. Buses to Chefchaouen leave regularly throughout the day, and the journey takes around 2.5 to 3 hours. The ticket price is approximately 50 MAD (Moroccan Dirhams). Upon arrival at the Chefchaouen bus station, you can either walk into the city center (about 20 minutes) or take a taxi to your accommodation.

  • Shared Taxi

    You can also opt for a shared taxi (taxi collectif) from Tangier to Chefchaouen. These taxis depart from the central taxi station in Tangier and can be quicker than the bus.
