Lighthouse Cap Malabata: A Beacon of Beauty in Tangier

Getting There

• Walking

  From the center of Malabata, head towards Avenue Mohammed VI. Walk along this avenue until you reach the intersection with Boulevard du 20 Août. Continue straight, and you will see signs directing you towards Cap Malabata. After approximately 20 minutes of walking, you will arrive at the Cap Malabata area.

• Public Bus

  If you prefer to take public transport, find the nearest bus stop along Avenue Mohammed VI. Look for bus number 3, which goes towards Cap Malabata. The fare is usually around 5 MAD. Get off at the stop labeled 'Cap Malabata'. From there, it is a short 10-minute walk to the lighthouse itself.

• Taxi (shared)

  You can also opt for a shared taxi, known locally as 'grand taxi'. Head to one of the taxi stands in Malabata, and ask for a ride to Cap Malabata. The cost should be around 10-15 MAD per person. The taxi will drop you off close to the lighthouse, and from there, it's just a few minutes’ walk.

• Bicycle Rental

  Another great way to reach the lighthouse is by renting a bicycle. There are several rental shops in Malabata. Rent a bike for around 30 MAD per hour. Head towards Avenue Mohammed VI and follow the path towards Cap Malabata. The ride should take approximately 15 minutes.
