Head towards the waterfront, keeping the ocean on your right. Continue walking straight until you see the large stone structure of the fortress on your left. The fortress is located right next to the fishing port, so you will be able to see it from a distance.

    For those who prefer cycling, rent a bicycle from one of the local rental shops in the city center. Start your ride from Avenida Julius Nyerere and head towards the waterfront. Follow the road along the coast until you reach Praça 25 de Junho. The fortress will be on your left side, adjacent to the fishing port. This route is flat and scenic, making it a pleasant ride.
