Getting There

• Walking

  If you're in the central area of Maputo, start at the Praça da Independência. From there, head east along Avenida Julius Nyerere. Continue walking straight for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the intersection with Avenida 24 de Julho. Turn right onto Avenida 24 de Julho and walk for another 1 kilometer. You'll eventually see a sign pointing towards Praia da Costa do Sol. Follow the signs, and in about 15 minutes, you will arrive at the beach.

• Bicycle

  Rent a bicycle from one of the local rental shops in the city center. Start at the Praça da Independência and cycle east along Avenida Julius Nyerere. Keep going straight for about 1.5 kilometers. When you reach Avenida 24 de Julho, turn right and continue for about 1 kilometer. Look for signs directing you to Praia da Costa do Sol. The ride should take approximately 20-30 minutes, depending on your speed.

• Public Transport (Minibus)

  To reach Praia da Costa do Sol by minibus, find a minibus heading towards 'Costa do Sol' from the central market (Mercado Central). Board the minibus and pay the fare (usually a small amount in Meticais). The journey will take around 30 minutes. Once you arrive at the Costa do Sol stop, you will just need to walk a short distance to the beach. Look for signs or ask locals for directions if needed.
