The pagoda is approximately 3 kilometers from Old Bagan. Look for the large stupa as you approach, which is a distinctive feature of this site.

    From the New Bagan area, start walking towards the main road. Head towards the east until you reach the junction with the Thuntekan road. Turn left onto Thuntekan road and continue walking straight for about 1.5 kilometers. You will see the Dhammayazaka Pagoda on your right.
