Getting There

Walking

If you are in the Old Bagan area, make your way towards the famous Ananda Temple, which is very well known. From Ananda Temple, head south along the main road (Ananda Rd) for about 500 meters. You will see a sign for Shwesandaw Pagoda on your left. Turn left and follow the pathway leading directly to the pagoda entrance.
Bicycle

Rent a bicycle from any of the local shops around Old Bagan. Start from the Old Bagan Archaeological Museum and head east on the main road. After approximately 1 kilometer, you will reach a fork in the road. Take the right path which leads directly to Shwesandaw Pagoda. The pagoda will be visible as you approach, and you can park your bicycle at the designated area near the entrance.
Horse Cart

From your location in Old Bagan, find a horse cart (you can often find them near temples or along the main roads). Inform the driver that you want to go to Shwesandaw Pagoda.
