Walking
If you are in Nyaung-U town, head towards the main road (Nyaung-U to Bagan road). Walk east along this road for about 1 kilometer until you reach the entrance of Shwezigon Pagoda. The pagoda is well-signposted, and you will see its golden stupa from a distance.
Bicycle
Rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Nyaung-U. Once you have your bicycle, ride along the main road (Nyaung-U to Bagan road) heading east for approximately 1 kilometer. Look for signs that indicate the direction to Shwezigon Pagoda. The ride is mostly flat and should take around 5-10 minutes depending on your pace.
Horse Cart
Find a horse cart near the central market area in Nyaung-U. Negotiate a fare with the driver to take you to Shwezigon Pagoda. The journey will take about 15-20 minutes. Sit back and enjoy the scenery as you travel along the main road (Nyaung-U to Bagan road) towards the pagoda.
